Understanding BOCCIA Boccia is a sport for the disabled that requires muscular sport and accuracy. This inclusive sport requires extensive sport from its players and has no equivalent in the Olympics. Boccia is played indoors with soft leather balls that require clever tactics, tremendous skills, and focus. Boccia is played by anybody regardless of their disability as it is a Paralympic sport , originally established for cerebral palsy individuals. Nowadays this sport is played by people with various types of disabilities. It is simple when you play indoors but the intensity increases as players improve their abilities. Two teams are competing as individuals, in pairs, or as teams of three over a given number of ends. Both teams have six balls, red or blue, at each end to earn points.
